Traditionally you will require base course (gap7, gap20, gap40) paving sand, and pave joint sand. Normally you'd lay your gap7 base course, compact it, then lay a bed of paving sand, then brush some joint sand in the cracks once pavers are down. Some people also mix a bit of cement and sand together and brush it in over the top of the pavers (on a fine day) and it creates a pretty tight bond between the pavers (sand and cement) and hold pavers firmly in place.
